Brief Description

Another sculpture by Roman V. Carreon, a local artist from Baliwag. Bonifacio in this monument is riding a horse and holding a bolo on his right hand.


Significance

The sculpture is unusual and unique as it is very rare to see a monument or depiction of Andres Bonifacio riding a horse. The sculpture has been re-installed in various areas in the Poblacion. Originally located near the public market, Andres Bonifacio Monument and Mini Parkwas blessed by Mons. Ruperto del Rosario for its inauguration ceremony on May 26, 1933 during the time of President Municipal PeregrinoSauco. The monument was unveiled by Sauco and Ms.EngraciaLaconico, Carnival Queen of 1933.
