Brief Description
One of the two existing brass bands that were established in the early 20th century.
Significance
In 1914, some members of the Banda Baliwag questioned the assistencia fee being given to them. This led to a welga by the members of the band led by Victor Gonzales. They formed a new band and called it Banda Pagmamalasakitan. Around 1942 during the time of turmoil, the band was almost dissolved due to the lack of musical instruments and new members. Through the efforts of the Municipal Mayor Rafael Chico, the band was able to purchase new instruments and the band again gained new momentum renaming it to Banda Pinagpala. The band was disbanded because of the war, but Gonzales gathered the former members when peacetime came. They recruited new members, re-organized the band, and renamed it to Banda 14 as a reference to the year of its original formation in 1914. The band is currently headed by Victor Gonzales, Jr.
